Hi there!

I’m Aashna (ah-sh-na, if you needed a little help)

I started out in the medical field, making the decision to leave it in mid-2022 due to burnout (which I’ve been managing since) and a decrease in my original passion for it. Possibly the main thing that I love about UX that was lacking in medicine is the creativity of the job. Through UX, I’m still able to help people the way I did in medicine, but now I’m able to add a more personal element to what I do!

I want to be able to contribute to the world in a way where I can bring others a bit of happiness and comfort when I can. I’ve taken two of my passions — drawing and reading — and created stickers that I sell online and hearing back from customers makes me feel like I’ve accomplished something, no matter how small. I want to continue with bringing joy to people through UX.

I don’t believe one is ever done learning. In a world as fast as the one we live in, it’s important to keep learning & growing.
I always want to do the best I can, whether it’s learning new programs or spending hours conducting research to ensure quality products or branching out of my comfort zone.

👀 Life-Long Learning

My life experiences taught me when you lack passion for what you’re doing, it feels meaningless and you don’t have a drive to get things done. When I enjoy what I’m doing, it’s easy to pour all my energy into it. I also keep my audience at the forefront of my mind because what I’m creating is for them. I want to make their life a bit easier and more joyful.

🔥 Passion

Going through life with kindness and compassion is important to me. I made sure to bring that with me every day in my previous field and it’s how I choose to live my life. Share your experiences, help others grow, and be genuine in all your interactions.

🧬 Flow & Adaptability

Being adaptable is something I’ve always prided myself in. I know I can get hung up on an idea or an outcome, but moving passed that and reworking is something I learned at an early age. It’s been helpful in reworking my life as I navigate this big change.
